General Club Questions

Research shows that Enrichment clubs improve education by fostering development and curiosity in children. It gives them access to opportunities that enhance their learning or ignite a passion and helps to develop confidence and improve social skills from a very early age.

Clubs are held after school on-site at MVCS - 2:45-4pm.
Clubs are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. There are no clubs on Mondays or Fridays.
Baroody Camps partners with a variety of local vendors, instructors and teachers to provide quality enrichment clubs to students.
Yes! Select the “join the waitlist” button near the club name and enter your information. If a spot opens up, we will email families with an online manual registration form.
Yes. If there is space available in the club, late registrations will be accepted. Please email us at [email protected]. Please note: after the first week, some clubs might not be available for late registrations.
Each club has a minimum number of students it must hit to run. If the club does not meet this minimum, it will be cancelled. Families will be notified and will be given the opportunity to transfer the paid fees and join another club (or request a full refund).

 

On-Site Questions

Before each session begins, teachers will receive a list of their students who are participating in after-school clubs. 1st-5th graders will walk to the Auditorium on their own after school. We ask teachers to remind all of their students participating.
Club instructors will walk Campagna and Rec students to their location and will walk the remaining students to the auditorium to be signed out by an authorized pick up person.

The ACPS activities bus will be available Tuesday-Thursday for grades 1-5 and for students who usually take the bus home after school. Please note: you must apply in advance to ride the after school activities bus. Please indicate the request and bus drop off location at the time of registration. It can take up to two weeks to be added and approved.

**The activities bus is expected to leave MVCS at 4:00pm. Buses can run late due to bus runs at other schools before 4:00pm.

 

Pick up time is at 4:00pm. If you anticipate being late to pick up your child, please call your On-Site Coordinator.
If your child will be absent from after school clubs, we ask that you notify us at [email protected]. Please indicate your school, child's name and class.
ACPS-provided snacks are available to all after-school clubs participants. If you prefer to send your own health snack with your child, you must inform Baroody Camps. Snacks sent from home are required to be NUT-FREE. For more information, please visit the Policies & Procedures tab.
Please indicate your child’s allergy and treatment at the time of registration. If your child requires medication, please fill out form HERE. All of our On-Site Coordinators are certified in CPR/AED/First Aid and are Medication Administration Trained (MAT).

 

Club Scholarships/Financial Aid & Special Needs Questions

Yes! The MVCS PTA and Baroody Camps have teamed up to ensure that after-school club opportunities are available to all students. We're committed to giving students on scholarship per session. Each club has a limited number of full and partial scholarships available to qualified families.
To be considered for financial aid/club scholarships, please indicate your request in online registration or fill out the paper club scholarship form.
Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch are eligible for one scholarship per session. You may request a full or partial scholarship. Families are encouraged to pay what they can afford so more students can benefit. If you do not qualify for financial aid/club scholarships but are experiencing financial hardship, please email us at [email protected].
If your child has special needs, please indicate their need on the registration form. We may reach out for additional information regarding how we can support your child.

 

Payments, Cancellations & Refund Questions

Class prices vary and are listed for each class on the main season page. For more information, click on the club name on the session tab.
We are happy to discuss payment options with families. Please email us at [email protected].
Once your registration has been submitted, you will receive an automated confirmation email. If you do not receive the confirmation email, please log in to your account and check your cart. If your registration(s) are still in your account, please enter your payment information and re-submit.

We will issue full refunds for cancellations requested before the start of the club session. If your child does not enjoy their program for any reason, a request to cancel for a prorated refund may be made to [email protected] no later than 48-hours after the second club date. No refunds or credits will be issued after this time.

If a club is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify families and will make every effort to schedule a make-up club. If we are unable to reschedule the club, a prorated refund will be issued for the missed club(s).
To download a dependent care receipt, log into your account and select the 3-lined box at the top right corner. Select "reports" then "dependent care receipt." Enter the search criteria and view report. Our tax ID is 20-8328473.
